Hospice at Home West Cumbria

We run Support Groups for carers and for bereaved people, with a range of formal and informal sessions designed to assist people to access help and support.  These are open sessions where everybody is welcome to come along.  Support Groups are run by hospice staff with the help of specially trained volunteers, and visitors may be able to receive a complementary therapy session.

Individual private appointments can be provided.  Please ring the hospice office on 01900 705200 to arrange.

There's always a warm welcome and we'll have someone there for you to talk to while you have a cup of tea and a biscuit.  You may also find that there are people there with very similar problems and feelings and that you are not alone in your difficulties.  No advance booking is necessary - just come along.

Support Groups are held at:

Cockermouth
Every Tuesday morning at the United Reform Church Rooms on Main Street between 10.00 and 12.00 noon 

Millom
On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at the Bradbury Centre between 10.00 and 12.00. 

Whitehaven
Every Monday afternoon at the Senhouse Centre between 1.30 and 3.30.
